Missile troops and artillery of the Land forces of Ukraine — a separate branch of service army, a member of the Armed forces of Ukraine.
Compounds are composed of operational-tactical and tactical missiles, of formations and units of howitzer, cannon, rocket and anti-tank artillery, of artillery reconnaissance, of mortar units and of units of anti-tank guided missiles. They are designed to engage manpower, tanks, artillery, antitank weapons, aircraft, objects of air defense and other important objects in the conduct of combined arms operations (combat). Missile troops and artillery are the main firepower in the operations of Land forces is conducted with the use of conventional weapons, and perform up to 65-70% of the total tasks of fire destruction of the enemy.
